After designing Alex and Susanna’s 'Bare Foot and Fancy Free’ engagement party we were thrilled to be asked to organise their wedding. The brief was to produce a colourful inclusive affair with some fun and original entertainment to excite and surprise whilst remaining true to a wedding celebration. Beginning with drinks on the lawn at Cowley Manor, guests were led by a troubadour saxophonist, directed by topiary hedge people, to the ornate cascade overlooking the most romantic lake. Arriving by vintage rowing boat dressed in wild and seasonal flowers, our elfin bride stepped through the gathered crowds and after vows were exchanged, thousands of rose petals floated through the cascade whilst the bride and groom were whisked away across the lake to the cheers of the guests.
Set within an open walled traditional marquee overlooking the beautiful grounds of Cowley Manor, the guests were sat on long rustic tables with scattered love notes and vibrant table centres. The food was of the fast flowing mediterranean style and shared amongst the guests, interspersed with song, speeches and laughter and topped off with an artistic sharing dessert. As the sun set our fire poi performers and fire bowls brought in the night time revelry with the DJ and cocktails fuelling a celebration to remember, finished off with a silent disco for the many keen to see in the wee hours. With recovery gift bags placed in every room and Bloody Mary’s on hand the morning brunch continued the excitement of the night before and saw the wedding guests depart feeling more than a little colourful.
